Cheers to The CMAs
for proving that country music is a national treasure. Like the Grammys in denim, the award show’s 50th anniversary bash slayed with an epic Beyonce?-Dixie Chicks duet, classic clips and a slew of appearances by icons old and new.
Cheers to The Odd Couple
for marshaling the troops. CBS’s reboot honored the original show’s late cocreator (and guest star), Garry Marshall, with a sweetly nostalgic episode featuring Happy Days‘ Ron Howard, Marion Ross, Anson Williams and Don Most, Mork & Mindy‘s Pam Dawber and Laverne & Shirley‘s Cindy Williams and Penny Marshall.
Jeers to The Walking Dead‘s talking dud.
Clearly Negan (Jeffery Dean Morgan) has never heard “speak softly and carry a big stick,” because the bat wielding wacko won’t shut up. We’re not sure what’s worse, the way he killed Abraham and Glenn, or his endless and annoying rants.
Jeers to CBS
for thinking a Big Bang Theory prequel is necessary. Even if it’s only hypothetical right now, the idea of a Young Sheldon spinoff would require some poor kid to be as funny as Jim Parsons, and that’s theoretically impossible.
