Freehold chiropractor Dr. Russell Brokstein is participating in “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” an annual statewide coat drive sponsored by the Association of New Jersey Chiropractors. Chiropractic offices throughout the state are collecting coats, hats, scarves, gloves and mittens to help those less fortunate as colder weather approaches. Brokstein expands the annual holiday drive to collect non-perishable food items. This is the 11th year his office is participating in “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.” Items are being collected for Open Door and for St. Peter’s Thrift Shop, both in Freehold. New or gently used clean winter items may be dropped off between now and Jan. 2 at Hometown Family Wellness Center, 9 Broadway, Freehold. Details: 732-780-0044.

The YMCA of Western Monmouth County, Freehold Township, has announced the appointment of new board members Selma Camacho and Craig McGraw. The
YMCA’s Board of Directors is comprised of community leaders who donate their time and expertise to establishing operating policies, providing planning and strategic direction and helping to secure the resources needed to further the YMCA’s mission. Camacho is a program manager for corporate information risk management with McGraw Hill Financial. McGraw is the national sales director of a family owned company, Trans American Trucking.

The Young Professionals (YP) of the Jersey Shore Association for Human Resources will hold a holiday networking party on Dec. 7 from 6:30-8 p.m. at Asbury Festhalle & Biergarten, 527 Lake Ave., Asbury Park. YP is open to anyone with a professional interest in the human resources field with less than eight years of experience, including recent college graduates and friends. The registration fee is $10 and includes appetizers and a cash bar. One hundred percent of each ticket will be used to adopt a family from the Monmouth Day Care Center, Red Bank, and purchase holiday gifts and food for a Red Bank family for the holidays. U-Haul Company of New Jersey has announced that Speedy Auto Repairs has signed on as a U-Haul neighborhood dealer to serve the Manalapan community. Speedy Auto Repairs, 436 Route 33 west, will offer U-Haul trucks, trailers, towing equipment, support rental items and in-store pick-up for boxes. Hours of operation for U-Haul rentals are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
