Katee O’Malley, a physics student from Howell, was inducted into the University of the Sciences Pennsylvania Kappa Chapter of the Alpha Chi National Honor Society on Nov. 15 in Philadelphia. University of the Sciences prepares students to be leaders and practitioners in the healthcare and science fields. Alpha Chi members have the opportunity to develop leadership skills and gain experience in professional activities, such as making scholarly presentations.
Connor Murnane, a history major from Jackson, is a member of the Philosophy Club at Ashland University, Ashland, Ohio. The club is an open forum in which members can examine their current belief systems and evaluate them with those of their peers. Connor is the son of Brian and Tracey Murnane and is a 2013 graduate of Jackson Memorial High School.
Jackson residents Erin Hickman and Dominique Bergeron have been inducted into the bachelor of science in nursing program as members of the class of 2019 in the Passan School of Nursing at Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The induction ceremony recognized incoming nursing students who have demonstrated basic competency in safety, communication and basic skills in the nursing simulation center.
Miguel Saldumbide of Jackson has been named to the dean’s lists at Berkeley College for the 2016 summer semester. Students who achieve a grade point average of 3.50 or better with a minimum of 12 academic credits qualify for the dean’s list.
