East Brunswick Mayor Kevin T. McEvoy and the Department of Recreation, Parks and Community Services will host the township’s annual Holiday of Lights Christmas Tree and Menorah Lighting 6 p.m. Dec. 4 at the municipal complex, Jean Walling Civic Center.
A short program will feature the mayor as master of ceremonies. Rabbi Eric Eisenkramer of Temple B’nai Shalom will deliver the invocation and light the menorah. The Rev. Thomas Walsh of St. Bartholomew Church will offer the benediction. The East Brunswick Girl Scouts will light the Christmas tree. Holiday songs will be performed by East Brunswick’s Kathleen Elle, Phoebe Struminger and the Girl Scout Band.
There will be free hot cocoa, hot cider, candy canes, gelt, dreidels and holiday bells. Fire trucks and police and rescue vehicles will be on hand. A special guest from the North Pole will make an appearance.
