WEST WINDSOR POLICE BLOTTER: Dec. 2

† A thief stole a wallet belonging to a 51-year-old Princeton resident while she was shopping at Trader Joe’s on Route 1 on Nov. 17. She put her wallet in a shopping cart, which she left unattended several times while she was in the store. She discovered the theft when she went to the cash register and could not find her wallet. She also reported that her American Express credit card had been used at several locations. 
† Fraudulent charges totaling $460 were made, using a credit card belonging to a 53-year-old West Windsor resident, on Nov. 15. The victim’s credit card company notified him of the fraudulent charges. The victim still had the credit card in his possession, and closed the account. The incident was reported at 10:14 a.m. Nov. 17. 
† A 75-year-old West Windsor Township resident reported that someone attempted to cash a check for $3,500 that was drawn on the victim’s bank account. The victim was checking his bank account online and discovered the forged check, and then went to the bank to put a “stop payment” on the check on Nov. 8. The incident was reported at 9:41 a.m. Nov. 15. 
† Someone used a Sam’s Club credit card and a Nordstrom’s credit card belonging to a 50-year-old West Windsor resident to make fraudulent purchases on the credit cards at a Walmart store in Glenolden, Pennsylvania, and at a Nordstrom’s store on Oct. 24. The incident was reported at 11:22 a.m. Nov. 9. 
† A 49-year-old West Windsor Township resident reported that she lost or misplaced her diamond engagement ring, valued at $5,575. She told police she usually wears it on her left-hand ring finger, but was wearing it on her left-hand pinky finger. As she was drying her hands after using the restroom at the Whole Foods store on Route 1, she noticed the ring was missing. The incident occurred Nov. 6, and was reported Nov. 8 at 11:32 a.m. 
† A taxicab driver was stiffed of a $30 fare by a man who received a taxicab ride to the Windsor Woods apartment complex at 7:42 p.m. Nov. 8. The man got out of the taxicab and ran off into a wooded area, without paying the $30 fare. 
† Brian T. Kelly, 25, of Lawrenceville, was arrested on outstanding warrants totaling $2,374 from Lawrence Township Municipal Court at the Princetonian Diner on Route 1 on Nov. 7. 
