Benedict Michael D’Annucci, 90, of Washington’s Crossing and Avalon, New Jersey, died on the 30th of November following a short illness.
Born in Trenton in 1926, he was a 1943 graduate of Trenton Catholic Boys’ High School and after serving in the US army he earned a degree from the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at St John’s University in New York. He owned Yardville Pharmacy in Yardville, New Jersey for over forty years, where he often filled prescriptions free of charge for those in need, before retiring to his home at the beach in Avalon where he became a cherished member of the community.
He was greatly loved by his late wife of over 50 years, the former Julia Ann Kelly; his daughters Lisa (John), Janis (Stephen) and son Michael; his sister, Mary; his grandchildren Maura, Courtney, John McEnery, Kierra and Quinn; and all his extended family and friends.
