The South Brunswick Senior Center will hold the following programs for senior members age 55 and older at the center, 540 Ridge Rd., Monmouth Junction.
“Ted Talks” topics will be Monica Lewinsky: The price of shame at 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 4; Barry Schwartz: The paradox of choice at 10:45 a.m. on Jan. 11; Celeste Headlee: 10 ways to have a better conversation at 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 18; and Joshua Foer: Feats of memory anyone can do at 10:45 a.m. on Jan. 25.
“South Brunswick Then & Now, A History of Our Township Part 2” will discuss “Transportation, Schools and Happenings in Town” at 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 12 based on the history of South Brunswick and how it has grown from a simple farm community to a township of more than 40,000 residents.
An introduction to herbalism is planned for 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 26 with Cynthia Scribner, educator and herbalist from 3 H Herbs. She will offer an introduction on herbs for health and well-being for common life issues such as stress, sleep difficulty, anxiety and headaches. Registration is required by Jan. 18.
“It’s My Sinuses: Allergies, Sinusitis and Nasal Blockage” will be held at 10:45 a.m. on Jan. 12 courtesy of Princeton Healthcare. Dr. Michael D. Lupa, specializing in otolaryngology and a member of the medical staff of the Princeton HealthCare System, will talk about common sinus problems including nasal blockage, nasal polyps and sinus infections, as well as treatment options.
