The North Brunswick Department of Parks, Recreation & Community Services will present the Broadway classic “The Addams Family” as this year’s 47th annual community theater musical from March 2-4.
Director Michael Hritz is seeking principals as well as a diverse adult ensemble. No roles have been pre-cast, and no experience is necessary. The show provides ample opportunities for area residents and local actors, singers and dancers to participate.
Vocal and dialogue auditions for adult principal and featured roles only, including Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, Grandma, Wednesday, Pugsley, Lurch, Mal Beineke, Alice Beineke and Lucas Beineke, will begin at 7 p.m. on Jan. 5 in the music room at North Brunswick Township High School, 98 Raider Rd., North Brunswick.
Those auditioning should prepare at least 16 measures of a song from any Broadway show, though songs from the show are preferred, and be ready to read from the script.
There will be a meeting of the entire company and all others interested in joining the cast or working behind the scenes at 10 a.m. Jan. 7 at the high school.
