Among holiday cards and photos in their mailboxes, Red Bank residents will also find an envelope from the Red Bank Public Library (RBPL).
The Foundation for the RBPL has sent out its third annual appeal in order to gain financial assistance from the community, which will be used for programs and collections.
RBPL is hoping the holiday season is an opportunity for the community to help and continue supporting it.
The RBPL relies on generous library supporters to build its financial position. With their help, the library is able to expand and continue to better serve residents.
With a simple library card, residents can borrow digital music, movies, audiobooks, eBooks, comics and magazines for free. Over 100 programs are also offered, such as Rosetta Stone, Universal Class and interactive ones where you can meet other residents.
By just glancing at the monthly calendar, one can see many events to attend, such as knitting class, chess, yoga and discussions. The RBPL has also partnered with schools, bringing students on trips to the library and encouraging summer reading.
The RBPL has a goal of $20,000 for this year’s appeal. Funds will be used to reach goals that have been laid out by the library’s strategic plan.
Donations toward the library may be made in person, online or by mail.
