Janice R. Ubry, 79, passed away in her home unexpectedly on Monday December 26th 2016. Born in Trenton, she was the only child of William and Mary Stevens. She was predeceased by her daughter, Elaine C. Cowell and her husband, William F. Ubry.
As a young woman, she worked for Keats Ford and the Pennington Market. She was a graduate of the Hopewell Valley Central High School. When her children were older, she worked for Lawrence Animal Hospital and Soupe DuJour. She enjoyed gardening, cooking for her family, taking day trips to Lancaster and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and children. She was a member of Pennington Presbyterian Church where she was a parish caller and active with HomeFront and TASK.
She leaves behind her children, Nadine (Gary) Coleman of Lambertville, Michael (Linda) Ubry of Stockton and Annette Falanga of Geary, Oklahoma. She was loved and will be missed by her eleven grandchildren, Bradford, Paige and Gregory Coleman, Justin, Alexander and Zachary Ubry, Travis and Nicholas Falanga, and Jonathan and Andrew Cowell and Christa (Craig) Wiggins. She also leaves behind two sisters-in-law, Catherine Wisbeski and Lyn Ubry, many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her parrot “Smokey”.
Funeral services will be held Saturday December 31st 11:00 a.m. at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Road, Pennington, with the Nancy Mikoski pastor of the Pennington Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Hopewell. The viewing will be held Friday from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
