Holmdel Theatre Company will present “Of Mice and Men,” the American classic by John Steinbeck and directed by Michael Kroll, from March 24-April 8.
Audition dates for this production will be held at 5 p.m. on Jan. 15 and at 7 p.m. on Jan. 16 at Duncan Smith Theater, 36 Crawfords Corner Rd., Holmdel.
It is only necessary to come to one of the two audition dates. Callbacks are by invitation only at 7 p.m. on Jan. 18. One Equity Special Appearance contract will be available for this production. Sides will be provided at the auditions.
Performances will be on Friday and Saturday nights with an 8 p.m. curtain and Sunday matinees with a 2 p.m. curtain. All actors must be available for all performances.
Ten roles (nine men and one woman) are all open, including: George Milton, male, 30-35 years old; Lennie Small, male, 30-35 years old; Candy, male, 60-70 years old; the Boss, flexible age, over 40 years old; Curley, male, 22-30 years old; Curley’s wife, female, 19-25 years old; Slim, male, 35-50 years old; Carlson, male, 35-50 years old; Whit, male, flexible age, 25-50 years old; and Crooks, African American male, 40-60 years old.
There will also be no January reading. The reading series will return on Feb. 6.
