Neve Shalom, 250 Grove Ave., Metuchen, will present the January speaker in the Gilbert and Claudie Hayat Shabbat Series at the 7:30 p.m. service Jan. 20. Ted Merwin, Professor, Dickinson College, will speak about “Pastrami on Rye: The Overstuffed History of the Jewish Deli.”
Professor Merwin is an expert on Jewish culture and a much sought after speaker. There is no admission fee and refreshments will be served.
