Same local content – fresh new look
We are proud to present the new and improved Sentinel.
Sentinel is now part of NMG–Newspaper Media Group. Who are we? We are a group of more than 40 community newspapers serving Central and Southern New Jersey, as well as Philadelphia and its suburbs. We deliver relevant local content to more than 1.5 million households each and every week across newspapers like this one, social media, local community events and our web sites.
It all started with Rich Donnelly and his vision to create one of the most dynamic community news organizations in the tri-state area. He started his own distribution company in Philadelphia in 1974. After serving clients in the publishing field, Mr. Donnelly sought out to connect the best publications from New York to Philadelphia under one umbrella. That company is Newspaper Media Group. This is a company that is committed to local journalism and providing our readers with news that they can use every week.
The most important person in this story, however, is you. You are the reason that our writers work diligently to report on the projects that impact your lives. You are the reason that our photographers are at home plate when your child scores the winning run. You are the reason why our advertising executives get you the deals from your favorite local retailer. And you are the reason why our carriers go the extra mile to make sure that you are holding this in your hand at this moment.
We will continue to be everything that you have come to expect from us in the past, but more importantly, into the future. Some of our plans include bringing you a web site that spans the region. This will give you more of a sense of what is going on with your neighbors, as well as within your own community. We plan to present ways that we can better connect with you through new social media pages to be launched. And we plan on connecting you more intimately with our advertisers and community leaders. (Don’t miss our 3rd annual Chocolate & Wine event at Branches in West Long Branch on Saturday, Jan. 28!)
This is your Sentinel. We hope you enjoy receiving this every week as much as we enjoy putting it together.
