Cora Ann Sloan, age 51 passed away Jan. 8, 2017 at University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. Born in Anderson, SC and lived in the Princeton area since 1979. She was educated in the Princeton Regional School System and attended Norfolk State University. Cora was a Teacher’s Aide and Crossing Guard for the Princeton Regional School System. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah A.M.E. Church in Princeton, NJ. wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww Daughter of the late Truman S. Heard, maternal granddaughter of the late Georgia Bell and John Frank Sloan, paternal granddaughter of the late Willie S. and Annie Mae Heard, paternal grandparents Robert and Katie Willingham, aunt of the late Surayya Basha Stephens, and cousin of the late Janice C. Freeman. wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww Cora is survived by her mother Catherine Heard (Donald), paternal father George Willingham, her only son Andre Malik Copeland, sisters Annie, Wanda, and Mesha Heard (Kenneth), brothers Demont R. Heard (Lisa), Andre Cutler, Byron Brownlee (Vanessa), Ralph Mattison, Giovanni (Jaquelyn), Genell and Khalil Willingham, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, special friends, and godchildren. wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww Funeral service will be 11am Sat Jan. 14, 2017 at First Baptist Church, Paul Robeson Place and John St. Princeton, NJ. Calling hours will be 9am until time of service at the church. Interment Ewing Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Hughes Funeral Home.
