PRINCETON: Dillon Youth Basketball Results

The Princeton Recreation Dillon Youth Basketball League continued this past at Dillon Gym. In the Girls division, Princeton Dental Group defeated Majeski Foundation, 22-13. Lauren Klein scored 18 points, while Clare Johnson added four points in the win for Princeton Dental. Mojisola Ayodele scored five points for Majeski in the loss., In other action in the division, Princeton Nassau Pediatrics took down Gallagher Risk Management, 19-9, behind a strong performance from Francesca Deffaria (seven points). Ali Surace scored three points in the loss for Gallagher. Princeton Nassau Pettoranello beat JM Group, 32-12, as Hillary Allen and Sophia Aguayo led the way with 12 points and eight points, respectively. Milan Couillens scored four points in a losing effort for JM Group., In the Boys 4th/5th grade division, Princeton Pi defeated Bon Appetit, 29-27. John Linko led the way with 10 points for Princeton Pi. Kian Bragg scored 11 points in the loss for Bon Appetit. Other games in the division included McCaffrey’s using strong scoring attacks from Tarak Jayachandran (19 points) and Remmick Granozio (16 points) to take down Conte’s, 40-32. Joshua Trotman scored 16 points in the loss for Conte’s. In the final game of the division, Cross Culture defeated Alchemist & Barrister, 38-28. Cross Culture was led to victory by Frank McLaughlin (18 points) and Jonathon Davidge (six points), while AJ Surace (16 points) and Nicola AbiChedid (six points) were the high scorers for A & B., Corner House edged Mason, Griffin & Pierson, 31-29, in the Boys 6th/7th Grade Division. Jaxon Petrone (16 points) and Osman Bayazitoglu (eight points) led the way in scoring for Corner House. MGP’s Carl Birge (10 points) and Theo Steiger (seven points) led their team in scoring and came up just short on Saturday. In other games in the division, Jefferson Plumbing was able to hold off Vicent Baldino & Brothers and triumph, 39-37. Ryan Cruser scored 21 points and John Reardon scored six points in the win for Jefferson. Sam Borovoy (19 points) and James Petrone (seven points) led the way for Baldino & Brothers in the losing effort. Woodwinds was led by a strong scoring attack by Gabe Majeski (15 points) and Max Blecher (10 points) to defeat Lependorf & Silverstein, 34-16. David Yang and Peter Hare both scored five points in the loss for Lependorf & Silverstein., Jack Suozzi scored a game-high 22 points for the 76ers, while Tommy Delany added 12 points as the Sonics beat the Nets, 51-40, in the Boys 8th/9th Grade division. Matthew Rinaldi scored 14 points and Judd Petrone added 11 points in the losing effort for the Sonics. In other action, the Knicks defeated the Nets, 55-44. Jay Jackson led the way with 28 points, while Patrick McDonald added 12 points for the Knicks. Gefen Bar-Cohen scored 19 points and Thomas Bocian added nine points in the loss for the Nets.
