The Long Branch Free Public Library will hold a public forum on the lasting impact of the photography exhibit, “SHINE: 100 Women of Long Branch,” at 1 p.m., Jan. 29, at the Main Library’s Community Meeting Room at 328 Broadway.
Join award-winning photographer Andrea Phox for a lively conversation with a diverse group of panelists who will discuss how this exhibit of feminine images provides perspective on how to embrace the lifestyle, color and nuance of others.
Phox, a Long Branch resident, believes “art gives the gift of a new way of seeing.” Her exhibit has brought together 100 women from every walk of life, capturing their personalities and strengths, passions and pursuits.
The five panelists who will moderate the discussion include Tony Sweet, Gilda Rodgers, Gabor Barabas, M.D., Nikkia Blair, Kelli LeDet, and Randall Gabrielan. Joining the forum discussion will be members of the 100 women of “SHINE,” who will share what the exhibit means to them.
The exhibit, which includes photographs of 100 extraordinary women who either live or work in Long Branch as educators, artists, business professionals, athletes, philanthropists, politicians and entrepreneurs, will be on display at the library through Jan. 31.
