MARLBORO – Mayor Jonathan Hornik swore in the 2017 Marlboro First Aid Squad officers and trustees during the squad’s reorganization meeting on Jan. 3.
“We are very lucky to have two first aid squads that provide free emergency services for our town,” Hornik said. “Both the Marlboro and Morganville squads are made up entirely of volunteers who are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
“While we hope we never need their services, they provide a critical resource when we do. I was honored to be asked to swear in these men and women who take time away from their businesses and families to give back to the community in such a meaningful way,” the mayor said.
The 2017 officers and trustees of the Marlboro First Aid Squad are budget director Dan Heitner, President Bob Cembor, Vice President Mary Cataudella, Secretary Pamela Mizrahi, Treasurer Leon Katz, Capt. Michele Lewis, Lt. Brad Greenberg, Second Lt. Sam Mizrahi, Sgt. Carolann Mannino and trustee James Basile, according to a press release.
“The Marlboro First Aid Squad could not exist without the support of residents,” Cataudella said. “We rely on volunteers and donations from the community to be there for the residents of Marlboro and those who are passing through in their time of need. Giving back to our community in this way is rewarding and we invite anyone to contact us for more information.”
