“Things Fall Apart” by Chinua Achebe is the choice of the Senior Book Club at the Howell branch of the Monmouth County Library on Feb. 16, part of the celebration of Black History Month.
The club meets at 10:30 a.m.on the third Thursday of each month. There is no membership fee, and all are invited to join or attend any of the readings and discussions. The library is located at 318 Old Tavern Road, next to the Howell Township Police Department and east of Preventorium Road.
“Things Fall Apart” is a cherished contemporary classic of Nigerian literature and the book which gained Achebe the title of “Patriarch of the African Novel.”
