POLICE BLOTTER for the week of 1/27/17

The East Windsor Township Police Department initiated the following police reports through Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017., Austin Soriano, 18, of East Windsor, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after an incident at 8:38 p.m. Jan. 13 at 888 Old York Road (Turnpike Park)., Officers were dispatched to Turnpike Park on a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot. The subsequent investigation revealed the driver was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Soriano was arrested and later released pending court action., Anthony M. Desmond, 23, of East Windsor, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after being stopped at 10:02 p.m. Jan. 17 on Maple Stream Road/Route 130 South., While conducting a motor vehicle stop, the officer detected the odor of raw marijuana emanating from the interior of the vehicle. The subsequent investigation revealed the passenger was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Desmond was arrested and later released pending court action., Robert Kroeckel, 24, of East Windsor, was charged with DUI, reckless driving, careless driving, being under the influence of CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic needle; and Juan Barrientos, 24, of East Windsor, was charged with being under the influence of CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic needle after an incident at 9:56 a.m. Jan. 18 on Maplestream Road., Officers were dispatched to a report of a suspicious occupied vehicle parked at Wynbrook West. The vehicle was observed being operated on Maplestream Road and stopped. Subsequent investigation revealed both the driver and the passenger were under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) and in possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver, Mr. Kroeckel, was also given field sobriety tests and charged with DUI. The driver was later released pending court action. The passenger, Mr. Barrientos, was later transferred to another agency for an outstanding court action.
