SHOWTIME will premiere season two of its drama series Billions on Sunday, Feb. 19 at 10 p.m. The series stars Oscar nominee and Emmy and Golden Globe winner Paul Giamatti and Emmy and Golden Globe winner Damian Lewis, along with a very strong supporting cast. Season two picks up immediately after the season one finale, as hard-charging U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades squares off against billionaire hedge fund king Bobby “Axe” Axelrod, scorching the earth in a costly war for personal domination. It’s law versus money, with power, sex, and the soul of New York in the balance. The new season will find various characters vying for control in a changing world that presents an existential threat. For all of them, it’s a choice between evolution and extinction.
CBS will premiere its new drama Doubt on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 10 p.m., right after the season finale of Code Black. Katherine Heigl stars as Sadie Ellis, a brilliant attorney at a boutique firm who starts to fall for her charismatic client, Billy Brennan, an altruistic pediatric surgeon recently accused of murdering his girlfriend 24 years ago. To avoid having Billy found guilty, Sadie needs to work on proving reasonable doubt, even if she has some herself.
NBC will premiere its new spinoff drama The Black List: Redemption on Thursday, Feb. 23 at 10 p.m. In this series, the world’s most elusive criminals from Red’s infamous list come together to form an elite mercenary team as they try to regain their self-worth after a lifetime of inflicting damage on the world. Seeking redemption for their past transgressions, this new group solves problems governments don’t dare touch. Blacklist undercover operative Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold) joins the team’s brilliant and cunning chief, Susan “Scottie” Hargrave (Famke Janssen), as well as lethal assassin and Tom nemesis Matias Solomon (Edi Gathegi), as they aim to be a force for good and right dangerous wrongs.
Girls returns to HBO for its sixth and final season Sunday, Feb. 12 at 10 p.m. Created by and starring Lena Dunham, the Emmy-winning comedy series is a comic look at the assorted humiliations and rare triumphs of a group of girls in their 20s. The cast also includes Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, Zosia Mamet, Adam Driver, Alex Karpovsky, Andrew Rannells and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.
