LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Arts commission thanks local businessman

To the editor:, The Hightstown Cultural Arts Commission would like to thank, Jeff Bond for graciously offering the currently vacant storefront at 121 Mercer Street for a pop up exhibit called “Connections.”, Jeff gave us ownership of an open and inviting space that was perfectly suited to exhibit paintings, drawings and collages by seven artists from Hightstown, Roosevelt, Hamilton, West Windsor, Princeton, and Trenton., Commissioners Frank Rivera and Jonathan Shahn did a beautiful job of curating and installing the exhibit that drew more than 100 people to Hightstown from as far as Newton, PA during its short one-week life span as a pop up gallery. Many of those who attended the Friday, Jan. 20 opening with musical entertainment by local artist Dan Trent, also, had dinner downtown., Connections was the commission’s second successful pop up venture, demonstrating a growing appetite for more art activity in the borough., The Cultural Arts Commission is grateful for the willing spirit of Mr. Bond, a community minded businessman, who trusted a bunch of artists to respectfully use his rental property to showcase distinguished professional art., Ann Marie Miller, Commission Chair
