February 8, 2017, Dear Resident:, The Borough of Hightstown is embarking on a new program for the collection of recyclable materials. The program is significantly more cost effective and will provide a cleaner, more attractive community., While the schedule for recycling pick-up has not changed, beginning the week of February 15, 2017, you will receive a new can, similar to the one provided for trash collection, in which to place your recycling material to the curb. This collection is comingled, therefore you will put all recyclable materials (paper, cut up cardboard, cans, bottles, and plastics (#1 – 7) in this can for pick-up. On collection day, your cart must be placed in the street with the wheels up against the curb.
