HILLSBOROUGH: Woman’s Club thanks auction donors

To the editor:, The Woman’s Club of Hillsborough recently held its annual Basket Auction and 50/50 Raffle. All proceeds from the Basket Auction are donated to various charities including Hillsborough Township Social Services, Juvenile Diabetes, NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness), Girl Scouts and Habitat for Humanity, just to name a few., In addition, the Woman’s Club provides several scholarships to graduating seniors at Hillsborough High School and one graduating senior from Hillsborough at the Somerset County Vo-Tech. One-half of the proceeds from the 50/50 raffle will be given to PCA-NJ (Prevent Child Abuse-NJ) which is our two-year project in conjunction with the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs., We would like to thank the following companies and individuals who so generously donated to our auction. Without their help, it would not be possible to host such an event: Somerset Patriots, Stress Factory Comedy Club, Alfonso’s Pizzeria & Restaurant, Garden State Discovery, Philadelphia Zoo, McCaffrey’s, George Street Playhouse, Alstede Farms, LLC, Adventure Aquarium, Christmas Tree Shops, The Cheesecake Factory, Dorothy Perovich, Christine Held, Central Jersey Nurseries, Inc., Renaissance Hair Salon, Beyond the Fringe, Petrock’s Grille, NY Jets, NY Giants, Gary’s Wine and Marketplace, Otterbox, Costco, Willow’s Bend Irrigation, Walt Disney World Co., In addition, thank you to all of our members who donated baskets and baked goods for the auction.
