Cheers to Survivor
for recycling responsibly. The cast of Season 34 — subtitled “Game Changers” — is a killer
collective of worthy vets, including Jeff Varner (who first played on Season 2), fan favorite Michaela Bradshaw (pictured) and two-time champ Sandra Diaz-Twine.
Jeers to SNL
for a McKinnon McOverload. Don’t get us wrong, Kate McKinnon is 100 percent amazing. But the woman seems to carry every sketch (masterfully, natch) while the rest of the cast goes unused. Step up, Cecily Strong. We know you can kill it too.
Jeers to Jane the Virgin
for offing Michael. Our love for this gem is only matched by our devastation over Brett Dier’s adorable cop succumbing to complications from a gunshot wound. His loss will be felt for (hopefully) seasons to come, as will Gina Rodriguez’s (pictured, with Dier) heartbreaking turn when Jane heard the tragic news.
Cheers to Matt Iseman
for being the best thing about The New Celebrity Apprentice. The always affable American Ninja Warrior host proved that good guys don’t always come last by winning Ahnold’s first season without resorting to the underhandedness we usually see in the boardroom.
