Kol Isha (A Woman’s Voice) songs and stories at the JCC

Kol Isha (A Woman’s Voice) will be presented by Sharon Goldman at 1:30 p.m. on March 14 at The Jewish Community Center of Middlesex County, 1775 Oak Tree Rd., Edison.

Sharon Goldman is a New Jersey based singer-songwriter known around the tri-state area and beyond for her storytelling, portraits and melodies. Sharon will sing songs and tell stories from her latest album, Kol Isha (A Woman’s Voice), a journey in song merging Jewish imagery, myth and memories with a modern, feminist perspective. Inspired by her Orthodox Jewish childhood, her time spent in Israel, conflicted secular adulthood and interfaith marriage, she digs deep into memories of prayers and rituals; of roads not taken; and of voices not heard.

The cost is $8 for JCCMC members; $11 for nonmembers.
