Chabad of Western Monmouth County, which was founded in Manalapan by Rabbi Boruch and Tova Chazanow, will celebrate 30 years of service to improving the quality of Jewish life in central New Jersey’s communities on March 19 at 5 p.m. at Lake Terrace in Lakewood.
“Inspiring Generations” is the theme for the event, which will honor several people who have helped make Chabad’s programs and activities a reality, according to a press release.
Chabad will recognize Shirley and Mark Chudnoff of Manalapan, Barbara and Hal Crane of Morganville, and Stacy and Seth Feldman of Morganville.
There will be a memorial tribute to the late Miri Horowitz, a beloved member of the community who lived with her husband, Jay, and children, Naomi and Natan, in Marlboro. Jane and Erwin Schneider of Marlboro will be honored as Pillars of Dedication and Friendship, according to the press release.
Chabad’s mission is to inspire personal growth through the teaching of Torah and the experiences of Jewish culture and tradition. During the past three decades, Chabad of Western Monmouth County has expanded to include Chabad houses in Freehold, Holmdel and, most recently, Jackson, according to the press release.
