The First Reformed Church of New Brunswick will hold its Downtown Lunchtime Recital Series at 12:15 p.m. on Wednesdays at the church, 9 Bayard St., New Brunswick.
On March 22, “Star Crossed Love” featuring soprano Samantha Dango, tenor Jeremy Blossey and Lynda Saponara on piano will offer musical theater and opera selections regarding different aspects of love.
On April 5, traditional Japanese music will be played on the shakuhachi by Glenn Swann.
On April 19, the music of France and the Americas from 1900-1925 will be played on the horn, trumpet and piano.
On May 10, the music of 17th-century Amsterdam, Vienna and Paris on a period “Mersenne” harpsichord will be performed by early music guru, WWFM radio host, harpsichordist and recorder player Lewis R. Baratz, featuring the music of Sweelinck, Froberger and Jacquet de La Guerre.
A free lunch will be provided after all concerts.
