Library events to mark Women’s History Month

The Old Bridge Public Library Main Branch, Route 516 and Cottrell Road, will offer two upcoming programs in celebration of Women’s History Month.

New Jersey photojournalist Jim DelGiudice will present “Agents of Change: Famous New Jersey Women” 7 p.m. March 23. Topics will include Dr. Virginia Apgar, inventor of the APGAR score for newborns; Revolutionary War heroine Temperance Wick; socialite Doris Duke; business executive Carly Fiorina; restaurateur Alice Waters; actress Bebe Neuwirth; and politician Millicent Fenwick.

Actress Michele LaRue will bring her one-woman presentation, “Tales Well Told: Women Breaking Loose,” to the library 2 p.m. March 26. LaRue will transport audience members to the turn of the century through the dramatic reading of two short stories, “A Pair of Silk Stockings” by Kate Chopin and “Representing T.A. Buck” by Edna Ferber.
