The North Brunswick Public Library is offering two book club discussion groups during the month of April.
On April 5 at 6 p.m., the Wednesday evening group will be discussing “Language Arts” by Stephanie Kallos. Charles Marlow’s English teaching skills cannot help him connect with his autistic son, his ex-wife or his college-bound daughter, but with the help of an ambitious art student, a nun and the memory of a boy in a white suit, he may finally be able to rewrite his life.
On April 18 at 10:30 a.m., the Tuesday morning group will be discussing Isabel Allende’s “Portrait in Sepia.” Using the metaphor of photography as memory, the book spans nearly 50 years and covers wars, love affairs, births, weddings and funerals.
Copies of the books are available at the circulation desk at the library, 880 Hermann Road, North Brunswick. No registration is required.
