Showtime will premiere the second season of Dark Net on Thursday, April 6 at 10 PM ET/PT. Following its eye-opening debut last year, season two takes viewers on sharper, even more unnerving turns as it depicts the perilous consequences that result when the virtual world invades every aspect of our lives. This can include our homes, communities, money, jobs, and even our bodies, minds and identities. The series exposes how we unwittingly surrender access to the most personal aspects of our lives because of our dependence on technology and willingness to do anything for convenience. Over the course of eight half-hour episodes, season two documents the vast extent to which our collected information and data is building an interconnected global net that has perhaps rendered us the last generation of privacy.
Hallmark Channel’s original movie Moonlight in Vermont will premiere on Saturday, April 8 at 9 PM ET/PT. Starring Lacey Chabert and Carlo Marks, the film revolves around Fiona, a high-end New York City real estate broker (Chabert) who gets dumped by her boyfriend and escapes to her family’s quaint Vermont Inn for a few days to slow down and evaluate her life. When her ex-boyfriend Nate shows up at the Inn with a brand new girlfriend, Fiona quickly devises a plan to win him back: pretend the handsome and very laid-back head chef Derek (Marks) is her new boyfriend! Much to the surprise of Derek – and to Fiona herself – in pretending to be in love, Fiona realizes she’s been thrown a curveball: her busy and scheduled life may not be what she really wants, discovering that sometimes the best things in life can’t be rushed and are worth the wait.
