Marvin Moses, 72, of Naples, FL passed away suddenly on Friday, March 17 in his home.
Marvin was born February 26, 1945 in Trenton, NJ to George and Jeannette Moses. Marvin graduated from Trenton High School and Glassboro College and was honorable discharged from the National Guard. He was a History teacher in Trenton and Neptune, NJ before joining his brother, Edward, in their restaurants; Casey Jones, in Long Branch and Yardville, NJ The brothers owned the restaurants for 30 years before moving to Naples, FL. Marvin was also in the Thoroughbred business with his brother, Ed, and loved the business of sport racing and breeding horses. He was a member of the Ritz Carlton Spa in Naples where he enjoyed his time on the beach and socializing with his many friends.
He is survived by his fiancé, Joyce Disbrow; brothers, Edward (Gerry) and James (Diane); niece, Lizabeth; nephew, Daniel (Marni); two grand nephews, Aidan and Grant and many cousins.
A memorial gathering was held at the Muller-Thompson Funeral Chapel, 2011 Pine Ridge Road, Naples on Tuesday, March 28 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with a service at 7:00 PM. There will also be a celebration of Marvin’s life on June 24, 2017 at Monmouth Park, Oceanport, NJ.
