Belle Mead : Nancy R. Lawrence, 64 died Tuesday at the Bridgeway Care and Rehabilitation Center at Hillsborough.
Born in Patterson, N.J, Mrs. Lawrence had lived in Belle Mead for the past 32 years. She had been employed at the Carrier Clinic in Skillman for 15 years as an adjunctive therapist. She volunteered at the SAVE animal shelter in Princeton Junction for many years. She loved all animals with a special affection for cats. Her kindness and understanding were matched only by her courage and unique ability to overcome any challenges she encountered.
Daughter of the late Dr. Edwin D. Rogers and the late Mary Hamlin Rogers and sister of the late Dr. Richard Rogers, she is survived by her husband Edward M. Lawrence whom she was married to for 42 years, her brother in law and sister in law, Michael and Rhonda Lawrence, sister in law Priscilla Teggie Rogers and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 3 from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the Hillsborough Funeral Home, 796 US Hwy 206, Hillsborough, N.J. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SAVE animal rescue in Skillman, N.J.
