EAST BRUNSWICK – The East Brunswick Public Library is showcasing art designs on its library cards.
As part of the library’s 50th anniversary celebration, three new library card designs were unveiled, featuring art that was submitted to the library through a contest late last year.
The cards feature artwork from three area children: Kayleigh Duffy, Dylan Ing and Ruqaya Tapya.
“We were impressed by not only the number of submissions we received but also with the creativity shown by our local artists of all ages,” Jennifer Podolsky, library director, said in a statement prepared by the library. “There were so many great submissions, and it was hard for our judges just to choose three.”
The judging panel consisted of members of the library’s Board of Trustees, Friends of the East Brunswick Library and the East Brunswick Public Library Foundation.
The three winning designs are available in both traditional library cards as well as keychain tags.
