WEST WINDSOR: Township awards bid for resurfacing of athletic courts

By Lea Kahn, Staff Writer, Several tennis courts and basketball courts will be reconstructed or repaired, following West Windsor Township Council’s award of a bid to a Point Pleasant-based contractor., Township Council awarded a bid for $593,750 to All Surface Asphalt Paving, Inc., which was one of four contractors that submitted bids for the project. The highest bid was $720,775., The project calls for resurfacing several tennis courts and the basketball courts. It also calls for reconstructing selected tennis courts, as well as installing new tennis nets, new tennis posts and tennis net center straps., There are five tennis courts located at the Hendrickson Drive Tennis Complex, which is also the home of the West Windsor Tennis Program., The two tennis courts at West Windsor Community Park have been closed since last spring because of unsafe conditions. There are two basketball courts at the park, which is located off Princeton-Hightstown Road.,
