• The fifth annual Senior Brain Health Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 28 at the YMCA Community Center, 41 Center St., Freehold Borough. Keynote speaker Claire Verruni, a registered nurse from Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, will speak about maintaining brain health. There will be activities, prizes and refreshments. • The Monmouth County Spring Job Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 21 at the Collins Arena on the campus of Brookdale Community College, Lincroft. • Pick Your Paw will host its first vendor and craft event from noon to 3 p.m. April 30 at the Manalapan Community Center, 114 Route 33, Manalapan. The event will raise money for the pups of Pick Your Paw on National Animal Advocacy Day. A donation of any amount is suggested at the door.

• A Mommy and Me Mother’s Day Tea will be held at the Manalapan Community Center, 114 Route 33, Manalapan, from 1-3 p.m. May 7. Dress for tea. Come make a bonnet, jewelry and flowers. • The Knights of Columbus will hold an all you can eat breakfast buffet from 8-11:30 a.m. April 23 at their Council Hall, 70 E. Main St., Freehold. The price is $7 per adult, $4 per child under age 12 and $20 for a family of four. Plain cheese omelette, $1 extra, omelette of choice, $2. • The Marlboro Recreation Community Center, Wyncrest Road, will host a book fair to benefit the Marlboro-Nanto youth exchange program. Lightly used books may be brought to the rec center vestibule April 24-27 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and April 28 from 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Book sale weekend: Preview, $10 per person on April 29 from 10 a.m. to noon. • On April 29 at 8 p.m., the Freehold Jewish Center, Freehold Borough, will present Casino Night. The event is open to all and will feature games, food, bar and prizes. • The Marlboro Library, Wyncrest Road, Marlboro, will present the film “Swim Team,” which chronicles the rise of the Jersey Hammerheads, a competitive swim team of diverse autistic teens. • The Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County, Freehold Township, will present a talk by Amy Weinstein, senior oral historian at the National Sept. 11th Memorial and Museum, at 2 p.m. April 30. Weinstein will speak about her work at the museum, focusing on stories and artifacts that relate to New Jersey residents and to Jewish victims and responders of the terrorist attack at the World Trade Center. • The annual Spirit of the Jerseys State History Fair will be held on May 13 at Monmouth Battlefield State Park, Route 33, Manalapan, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine. Five centuries of New Jersey’s history will be represented by exhibitors and re-enactors. • The Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County, Freehold Township, will present a lecture, “Abraham Lincoln and the Jews,” by Rabbi Dr. Robert Fierstien of Stockton University at 1 p.m. April 26. Fierstien will highlight Lincoln’s personal relationship with the Jewish people and demonstrate the significant role Lincoln played in defending Jewish rights and civil rights during the Civil War years. • The Monmouth County Park System will host demonstrations of a 19th century grist mill at Historic Walnford, Walnford Road, Upper Freehold Township, from 1-4 p.m. April 22, 23, 29 and 30. There is no cost to attend the demonstration.

• Come and explore the woods and wetlands of the Manasquan Reservoir, Howell, on Earth Day, April 22. Meet at the Manasquan Reservoir Environmental Center. The day will include nature walks, live reptile and amphibian presentations, children’s crafts, and more.
