Last week, teams from the Hopewell Valley Soccer Association played for the second week of their spring season., U12 Boys, The Hopewell Valley U-12 Bolts finally started their spring season on Saturday with a 4-2 win over Harrison Cosmos., The Bolts started brightly, with an early goal from Velez, scored at close range from a Luedeke corner. The second goal came from some lovely interplay down the wing, with Luedeke scoring from a Casano pass., Despite conceding a goal to half their lead, the Bolts kept playing at a high tempo, with some excellent passing, and were rewarded with a third goal when Hooks fired home from a Luedeke assist. Luedeke scored his second from an Overman pass, before Harrison scored a consolation goal to make the final score 4-2., There were excellent performances throughout the team, with some excellent saves from Bangerter, behind some determined defending by Azara, Sirolly and Branham, with Heide and Whitlock combining with the offense to keep the Bolts a threat throughout the game.
