Princeton and a leading affordable housing group are close to reaching a settlement into the town’s affordable housing requirements will be., The two sides are “very, very close,” according to a source familiar with the matter on Thursday. Details were not disclosed about what the number of units the town will accept., For its part, the Fair Share Housing Center said Thursday that it is “not able to comment on closed-door negotiations.”, The Princeton Council has had two closed-session meetings this week, with more planned for next week, on the affordable housing litigation Princeton and other towns from Mercer County are involved in., The towns are in the midst of trial, in Mercer County Superior Court, pitted against Fair Share, on what their affordable housing requirements aught to be.
