Three $2,000 scholarships to be awarded in 2017

The Freehold Soil Conservation District will award three $2,000 scholarships to students majoring in a conservation-related field in the summer of 2017.

The Neal Munch, Mac Clark and Bill Schauer Scholarships are awarded annually to honor their years of dedicated and distinguished service to Freehold District and to conservation. This will mark the 38th consecutive year that Freehold Soil Conservation District will award college scholarships.

All applicants must be a New Jersey resident of Monmouth County or Middlesex County; entering their junior or senior year of college by the fall of 2017; and majoring in a field related to conservation including, but not limited to, agriculture, environmental education, environmental science, environmental studies, forestry, geology, landscape design, resource management, soil science, etc.
