Veteran street sign dedication called off in Middletown

The Veteran Street Sign Dedication ceremony that was planned for May 13 in Middletown has been postponed due to the impending rain.

A new date to dedicate the quartet of commemorative street signs will be announced.

More than 50 signs have been added township-wide to honor Middletown veterans who were killed in action from World War I to present. The commemorative sign includes the soldier’s full name, an American flag, branch of service, campaign served and a gold star representing the gold star mother and family.

The Veterans Affairs Committee is seeking families of Middletown’s fallen veterans. Family members are encouraged to call 732-787-8510.
