Louise Lilly Lang, 82, of Manalapan Township died on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at home. Mrs. Lang was born in Fairview and had resided in Cliffside Park before moving to Manalapan 55 years ago.
Mrs. Lang attended Douglass College and was a graduate of Kean University. She earned a Master’s degree from Georgian Court University.
She was a teacher in the Old Bridge Township Schools for 36 years before her retirement.
She was a former member of the Manalapan Township Shade Tree Committee and the New Jersey State Shade Tree Committee. She was a member of the New Jersey Education Association and the New Jersey Science Teachers Association.
She was the widow of Jay George Lang, who died in 1997. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Edith and Marie.
Surviving are two sons, Paul J. Lang, and Mark D. Lang and his wife, Diana; a sister, Linda L. Donner and husband, Bryan; a brother, Henry Hugelheim and his wife, Claire; and seven grandchildren, Kimberly, Alison, Annastasia and Gregory Lang, and Nathan, Benjamin and Kathryn Donner.
The viewing will be held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m., followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent.
