Mary-Alyce Harvey Tuska

Mary-Alyce Harvey Tuska died on June 7, 2017, at The Ridge at Riverwoods in Exeter, NH. She was born in Camden, NJ on February 26, 1931, daughter of the late Robert and Edna (Peacock) Harvey. Mary-Alyce lived in Collingswood, NJ before moving to Princeton, NJ.

Following high school, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Math from the College of William and Mary.

 

In 1952, she married James W. Tuska, and they resided for a few years in Connecticut before moving to

Pennington, NJ where they were long-time residents. She volunteered with the local Watershed Organization, was an involved member of the First Presbyterian Church, and was very active with both the Hopewell Valley Garden Club and the Junior Garden Club, in addition to raising their family. The couple retired to Durham, NH, then moved to The Ridge at Riverwoods in Exeter, NH twelve years ago.

 

Mary-Alyce was a beloved and respected wife, mother and grandmother who was always there for her family. She loved gardening, music, taking pictures, and being at the family lake cabin. Her ready smile and abundant

gratitude were admired and appreciated by many.

 

She was predeceased by her husband, James, on March 31, 2013. Surviving family includes her daughter,

Jeannette T. Kudach, her husband Gerard Kudach, and their two daughters Michelle and Tina, all of Lafayette Hill, PA; daughter, Evelyn T. Patterson, her husband

Brian Patterson, and their two sons Benjamin and Daniel, all of Colorado Springs, CO.

 

A memorial service will be held at The Ridge at

Riverwoods in Exeter, NH at a time convenient for the family. Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, NH is assisting the family with the arrangements.
