OLD BRIDGE — The following candidates earned a chance to compete for four-year terms on the Old Bridge Township Council in the November general election.
Ward 1: Democrat David W. Merwin received 475 votes.
Republican challenger Robert C. Thompson Sr. garnered 290 votes over Republican Incumbent Joseph Mollis, who received 134 votes.
Ward 2: Democrat Zeeshan Siddiqi received 279 votes and Republican Incumbent Mary R. Sohor garnered 260 votes.
Ward 3: Democrat challenger Edina Brown garnered 224 votes over Democrat Incumbent June Dungee, who received 155 votes.
Republican Frank R. Weber received 118 votes.
Ward 4: Democrat Mark Razzoli received 355 votes.
Republican Incumbent Alan Rosencranz garnered 179 votes over Republican challenger Gina M. Talamo, who received 140 votes.
Ward 5: Democrat Annette Tunyla Hopman received 276 votes.
Republican challenger Anthony “Tony” Paskitti garnered 355 votes over Republican Incumbent Richard J. Greene, who received 161 votes.
Ward 6: Democrat Kenneth R. Totten received 293 votes.
Republican challenger John E. Murphy III garnered 217 votes over Republican Incumbent Lucille Panos, who received 212 votes.
