The Middlesex County Office of Culture and Heritage will hold a special celebration for Father’s Day weekend that combines sports and history.
To commemorate 160 years of baseball in Middlesex County, the county will present a free baseball game using 1857 rules and regulations from 1-3:30 p.m. on June 17 in the fields adjacent to East Jersey Old Town Village, 1050 River Road, Piscataway.
The Diamond State Base Ball Club of Delaware will challenge the Elizabeth Resolutes Base Ball Club.
All attending sports fans are asked to bring a chair or blanket to sit on.
Admission is free.
