Giusseppe’s Pizza in Old Bridge will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a celebration on June 17.
From noon to 3 p.m., the pizzeria, located in the Bilow Park shops at 2581 Route 516 in Old Bridge, will offer games, free food, a dunk tank, a ribbon-cutting by Mayor Henry Owen, a pie-toss with Owen, a deejay, music, dancing and other events.
The day will also include fundraising for the JAR of Hope Foundation. Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a muscle-wasting disease whose victims are in wheelchairs by their early teens. Seven-year-old James Anthony “Jamesy” Raffone of Manalapan is one of only 120 in the United States who suffers from the disease.
Owner Carlo Castronovo decided to help Jim and Karen Raffone, who founded JAR of Hope, by donating one dollar for every large pizza sold during June to help Jamesy. Donations will be accepted during the anniversary event as well.
