Jennifer Amato, a managing editor for Newspaper Media Group, received the American Legion Department of New Jersey Journalism Award for 2017 at the organization’s 99th annual Department Convention held on June 8 in Wildwood. Pictured with Amato is Gary Cooper, commander of American Legion Post 401 in South Brunswick, who is also the Middlesex County commander and chair of the state American Legion’s Public Relations and Publicity Committee. Cooper nominated Amato for the award.
