EAST BRUNSWICK – A township man has been charged with distributing heroin to fellow residents.
The East Brunswick Police Department’s Special Investigative Unit executed a narcotics search warrant on Allison Drive around 9 p.m. June 9. The search warrants were a result of a two-month long investigation by the Anti-Crime Unit which revealed the 28-year-old resident was allegedly distributing heroin within the township, according to information provided by police.
As a result of the investigation and search warrants, the suspect was found to be in possession of nearly 11 bricks of heroin totaling 530 bags, eight Suboxone films, hypodermic syringes, raw marijuana, digital scales and a large number of empty bags and rubber bands used for packaging heroin, according to police.
The man was charged with possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, possession of heroin, possession of Suboxone, possession of marijuana, possession of hypodermic syringes and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The suspect was released pending court, police said.
