The East Brunswick Library will screen the 2012 documentary “Portrait of Wally” at 7 p.m. on July 12 at the library, Civic Center Drive, sponsored by the Eat Brunswick Human Relations Council and the East Brunswick Arts Commission.
The documentary follows the story of the oil painting “Portrait of Wally” by artist Egon Schiele. The piece belonged to Austrian art collector Lea Bondi Jaray but was stolen by the Nazis during World War II. This film chronicles the Bondi family’s struggle to reclaim the portrait.
The movie screening is free and open to the public. “Portrait of Wally” is not rated and runs 92 minutes.
