The NJ Tech Council will celebrate its 21st anniversary while it will also feature discussions with Phil Murphy and Kim Guadagno, who are candidates for governor of New Jersey, from 3-8 p.m. on July 12 at The Stress Factory Comedy Club, 90 Church St., New Brunswick.
Following the separate chats, CEOs representing various sectors and areas of the region will speak. Then, networking with the region’s tech and business leaders will be held during an extended reception, capped off with a comedy show.
Registration begins at 3 p.m., followed by a welcome address by James Barrood, CEO of the NJ Tech Council, at 4 p.m. Chats with the gubernatorial candidates will be held from 4:05-4:30 p.m. and from 4:35-5 p.m. Afterward, a CEO panel will discuss the environment and technology. From 5:45-7 p.m., attendees can network during a reception that includes a buffet and open bar. From 7-8 p.m. Vinnie Brand of the Stress Factory Comedy Club will discuss how to integrate humor into the workplace. An open mic will begin at 8 p.m.
The cost is $70 for members or $105 for future members. Using promo code “factory” under the Future Members option, tickets will be discounted to $65. Tickets are available online at Eventbrite through July 11.
