Sam Dylan Liss, 25, died on July 5, 2017, after a 15-month battle with cancer.
Sam was a 2010 graduate of Metuchen High School and a 2014 graduate of Emory University in Atlanta. He was a student of American History; he loved politics, sports, traveling and adventure.
He is survived by the love of his life, Jessica Goodman, his parents, Katherine and David Liss, his sister, Alison Liss and her fiancé Ruben Rhoades, his grandmothers, Stella Abruzzo and Lillian Liss, his aunts, uncles and cousins, and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. July 7 at Temple Emanu-El, 100 James St., Edison. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Metuchen. Arrangements were made by The Goldstein Funeral Chapel in Edison.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) or to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Foundation.
