Freehold Township can not afford another loss in its drive to win the New Jersey Little League Junior Softball State Tournament championship.
Tomorrow, July 15, Freehold Township plays in elimination game when it meets Merchantville at 12 p.m. at the Ocean Township Little League Colt Complex. The game was scheduled to be played tonight, July 14, but it was washed out due to rain.
Freehold Township seeks to rebound after falling to Clifton, 5-4, on July 12. That game was decided in the last of the seventh inning.
If Freehold Township wins tomorrow, it must defeat Clifton twice on Sunday, July 16, to win the championship. The first game begins at 10 a.m. on July 16 at the Ocean Township Little League colt Field Complex.
